![]() ![]() Yes, I play with mouse accel and v-sync off. What annoys even more is when another Sniper joins my team, and all the enemies I was having trouble even bodyshotting are getting taken down left and right as if they're standing still, meaning as if their pings don't affect him at all. ![]() It's bad enough that there are huge differences in a class' height and stuff that I have to take into account, but there is absolutely no reason I should have to suffer because some dumbass connected to a server that's halfway across the world from where he lives. // Enable strict semicolon mode pragma semicolon 1 // Includes include include include include // Include SMLIB include // Constants define PLUGINVERSION '1.1. However, when it comes to pub play, most people just click on a random server and go, so they could have a ping of 5 or 500. My guess is that it's probably because people playing competitively are probably all located in the same general area, so everyone's ping is around the same. The only exception I've seen is with rocket jumping Soldiers and sticky jumping Demos, where they usually click on the chest instead. I've seen a bunch of frag clips of professional Snipers going on massive sprees, and they're always clicking exactly on the enemy's head model, not slightly behind or before it. A huge airshot on MGE Flick enjoyer tf2 tf2sniper tf2scout teamfortress2 headshots frag tf2clips tf2clip Eirxot MGE Sniper is fair. And frankly, it doesn't seem like that's what I'm supposed to do anyway. Valve has a strict policy against cheating and will ban detected cheats with the Valve Anti-Cheat system, also known as VAC. I've been told, "Try shooting where they were about a second ago, that's where the hitbox is." The only problem is that I simply can't train myself to do that. Cheating is a term that describes the use of third-party programs or material changes in order to gain an unfair advantage in gameplay. (Yes, I've read that article on the Source Engine wiki about hitbox delay, so stop giving it to me already.) I've done my best to keep my ping low by playing on servers near me, but with everyone else having such vast differences in ping (because people don't know how to check where a server is located) it's almost impossible for me to hit any headshots. (or the enemy team stands still the entire time) I've read that due to issues with Source and my ping and other people's ping and a bunch of other stuff that hitboxes tend to lag on the Source Engine because of how old it is, and that if a player has a high ping, there can be a huge delay in their hitboxes. I'll go on a few sprees every now and then, but it feels more like luck than skill. I'm being serious about this because as far as pub-play is concerned, I do really well at every class with the exception of Sniper, and I want to be able to play Sniper well, so that I can play as ANY class if needed. I'm not in the mood for replies like "git gud' or "smoke weed, eat doritos, and drink mountain dew" or "click on people's heads". ![]()
